General Assembly

This document is beholden to the House Rules and Statutes, in the case of conflicting information the Statutes hold president, followed by the house rules.

Several times a year the board of StudSec will organize a general assembly that are open to all members. The following items are to be discussed during these GA:

  • Motions
  • Proposals
  • Appeals
  • Voting of a new board(member)
  • Introduction of new board members
  • The financial report of the ScroogeCie
  • Year reports and plans
  • Any and all additional agenda items added by the board, possibly by submission of a member
Motions

A member may submit a motion during the GA, the board is not obligated to accept the motion. The exception to this is the vote of no confidence, which may always be submitted if supported by 30% of members, as specified in article 11.2.e of the statutes.

Proposals

A member may submit a written proposal to board@studsec.nl up to 6 days before a GA. The board is not obligated to consider proposals submitted later.

Appeals

Any member of StudSec is entitled to appeal a decision made by the board concerning their membership or status within the association to the general assembly. The details of this are stipulated in the statutes.

 

Protocol

Announcement

The GA is announced at least 10 days in advance, as specified in article 13.2 of the statutes. This announcement includes the time, date, preliminary agenda and general location of the GA. A second announcement will be sent before the start of the GA including the final agenda and any submitted proposals, as well as the exact location of the GA.
